CONVENING Convening is different from facilitation. By definition, facilitation is 'the process of making things easy or easier.'  
Conveners plan and design for wholeness and authentic engagement, and invite participants to co-create the highest possible outcome for a meeting or gathering. Engaged collaboration is a natural outcome.

 

1. Familiarize yourself with the Convening Wheel

2. Make a list of your top 2-3 key meetings or gatherings that are or may be scheduled by mid-January.

  • What works well now that you want to build on?

  • What would you change?

  • What is something new that you would like to try?

  • How are your meetings an expression of your leadership values?

3. You are invited to create a “Case Study” to explore designing for the meetings identified in #2.
Please use one of the forms below for your design.
In the January 21 session we will discuss learnings from this exercise.
