Mentor Coaching in a Team Setting:
What is coaching? The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.'' Coaching is future-focused and action-focused. The use of coaching is booming for one simple reason: it works.
What is mentoring? In mentoring, a more experienced person helps a less experienced person learn. The role is to share experiences as they might benefit the recipient. Your CPL Mentor-Coach will mentor you on the application of the Art of Convening™, as described in (the AOC book).
What is Convening? Convening is a form and defined practice for engaging people in important conversations. It is described in (the AOC book) and taught in our programs at CPL.
Who do you work with? We work with leadership teams and purposeful individuals in transition seeking to establish a new focus for their life or work.

“Craig’s coaching was invaluable for establishing an ongoing collaborative of health care CEOs from Minnesota dedicated to working together to improve health care. Using “art of convening” principles, Craig helped to plan the first few meetings and establish a safe and trusted environment. By the 2nd meeting, the participants signed a pledge “to collaborate on specific and persistent problems that cannot be solved by any individual entity or solely through competition.””
“(Kim) is a very inspiring coach with the experience I felt I lacked, and she encouraged me to go deeper each time to uncover my true values and motivations to move forward. It was so helpful to be coached by Kim as she enabled me to get a real grasp of my goals and throughout the sessions and helped me focus on the more important aspects of building my practice. It’s been an amazing experience and I thank Kim for her patience and gently prodding when necessary.

I appreciate his attentiveness, thoughtfulness and simple, straightforward knowledge and wisdom. ”
