Essential Conversations: 5/3 Weaving Threads of Grief & Joy in Times of Unraveling

We are at a critical juncture as the world reckons with an ongoing pandemic, racial injustice, environmental risks, and other issues that affect all businesses, organizations, communities and individuals.

How do you deal with the ongoing stability while keeping an intention to create a positive impact. In a disruptive, VUCA* world, acting from purpose is the stabilizing, presencing force that creates the ability to focus on what matters.

In April, we explored Weaving Threads of Grief & Joy in Times of Unraveling, with Carolyn Baker & Terry Chapman.

In a culture where grief and gratitude, sorrow and joy are polarized, Carolyn Baker and Terry Chapman offered a non-binary alternative that allowed us to safely descend into the waters grief, move through them, distill our process, and come home. Carolyn Baker, | Author. Speaker. Collapse Coach. Radio Host. and Terry Chapman | CPL Communities and CPL Associate.

From that new threshold, we re-collected our experiences so that as the journey of grief/gratitude/joy continues, we develop the skill of reweaving in the midst of life's unravelings.

On Monday, May 3, join us to explore “Weaving Threads of Grief & Joy” in an Open Space Format

Through the magic of Zoom rooms*, you can self-select to choose the focus that interests you for a "deeper dive" conversation.

Join us as we continue the conversations from April, through 4 lens:

  • Convening the Inner Life: What is at the heart of the matter for you?

  • Convening Relationships: All transformation is relational.

  • Convening in Organizations & Systems: Generate effective and efficient co-creation to address systemic change.

  • Convening in the Environment: A truly human intimacy with the earth and with the entire natural world is needed.

*Participants can self-select and choose the breakout room of your choice.

At CPL, we consider conversation as a core process and tool for transformation. We use the principles of The Art of Convening as a “true north” guide to how we want to BE as humans, seeking authentic engagement and community.
